Potato gratin, sweet

Course Side dish
Servings 6 pax.

  • 1,5 kg Sweet potato all the same size, approximately 250 g per piece
  • 5 tbsp Sage
  • 6 clove Knoflook
  • 250 ml Room
  • 1 tbsp Sage for garnish

  • Preheat the oven to 200˚C. Wash the sweet potatoes and cut into slices (5 mm thick). Keep the peel on. In a bowl, mix the potato slices, sage, and garlic and season with salt and pepper. Arrange them in an oven bowl by placing them up-right. They must be very close to each other. Sprinkle the left-over herbs on top. Cover the bowl with aluminium foil and place in the oven for 45 minutes. Then, remove the foil and pour cream evenly over the sweet potato. Place the bowl back in the oven for another 25 minutes. Take out of the oven when the slices are very soft. Garnish with the extra sage and serve directly.
