- First of all, heat the barbecue until the coals are white hot, or heat your gas barbecue to 200°C. You can also switch on an electric grill at the highest setting. Score the body of the squid 3-4 times across, but be careful not to go through it completely. Roast the squid on high heat for 6-7 minutes on each side until cooked. If you use an electric grill, set the grid at about 10 cm from the element, and the squid for 6-7 minutes grill on each side until cooked. Get it from the barbecue or from the grill, cut into small rings and serve with dipping sauce for seafood.
