The Balinese cuisine is one of the people’s favorites in the Netherlands and is known for its typical spices and techniques. The course consists of 4 lessons and is designed for anyone who wants to improve their Indonesian cooking skills. This is a unique opportunity to learn of 2 chefs and discover the secrets of this tasteful oriental cuisine. With the recipes you receive afterward, you will surprise everyone back home. All classes are also available separately.

CLASS 1

Date: September 4, 2018

Theme: Vegetables
We start the class with an introduction of the typical Balinese herbs and techniques and a review of the menu. We will prepare different types of curries, and cook a special dish with crunchy vegetables and coconut. During the preparations (slicing, baking, braising) tasty snacks are provided. We conclude the evening with a cozy dinner of homemade dishes. Before you leave, you will receive all the recipes to bring back home.

CLASS 2

Date: October 9, 2018

Theme: Meat
We start the class with an introduction of the typical Balinese herbs and techniques and a review of the menu. During this class, we will prepare finger licking beef stew and you will also know how to grill a tender satay. Of course, we will enjoy the tasty dishes, complemented by rice and vegetables during a joint dinner. Before you leave, you will receive all the recipes to bring back home.

CLASS 3

Date: November 6, 2018. Fully booked

Theme: Poultry
We start the class with an introduction of the typical Balinese herbs and techniques and a review of the menu. This evening is dedicated to poultry and egg. First, we will divide the work after we start preparing a particular chicken dish. We conclude the evening with a nice dinner of chicken, duck and egg dishes supplemented with vegetables and rice. Before you leave, you will receive all the recipes to bring back home.

CLASS 4

Date: December 4, 2018. Fully booked

Theme: Fish, shellfish and other seafood
We start the class with an introduction of the typical Balinese herbs and techniques and a review of the menu. In this class, we focus on fish, shellfish and other seafood in Balistyle. Become familiar with making curries learn how to grill and become a stir-fry chef. Before you leave, you will receive all the recipes to bring back home.
